Customer Review

boooyah
These sardines are fantastic - probably why they stopped offering them. Actually, they spoiled me from regular sardines; after you eat these, the skin and tails and bones of regular sardines tend to make you quesy. These have a mild flavor, so even if you don't like sardines, you may changer your opinion after these...I eat them, one tin per day, at work - much to the dismay of my co workers. Then I crumble some whole wheat crackers and spices into the fish oil and olive oil left over, let it absorb, and chug it down! Omega-3 fatty oils, protien, and olive oil! You cannot go wrong, and here in Butler (30 miles N. of Pittsburgh) Giant Eagle charges 2.99 per tin...so you save as well.Eat. Get Healthy. Annoy your weak-stomache co-workers (smak your lips, smile, sigh as you eat). Can you go wrong? I think not.

Crown Prince Sardines
Crown Prince Natural Skinless & Boneless Sardines are the best sardines I have EVER eaten! I'm trying to lose weight and eat healthier, and when one of the attorneys in our office prepared a plate of sardines, sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese for lunch, I was intrigued. He let me try the sardines and I was hooked! They are absolutely delicious! And they don't have that strong "fishy" smell most sardines have. Unfortunately, my local grocery store doesn't carry them so I was extremely pleased to be able to order a case from Amazon, and I'll keep on ordering them until I can get them locally.

Excellent quality and taste
I just bought a case of these as well as a case of Crown Prince's cheap line of Sardines (known as Ocean Prince). The difference in quality is quite clear. These sardines have excellent taste, texture and aroma. The pure olive oil really makes a difference in the taste, and the sardines are thick and tender. The can is also easy to open. For the same amount of money, you can buy 12 of these or 24 of the Ocean Prince Sardines. Well, you get what you pay for, and it shows here. This is the first brand of Sardines didnt give me gas/bloated stomach after I ate it. Go for with the premium line...you pay more, but its well worth it.

Wild Sardines review
These sardines are meaty and filling, and there is no fishy taste. The additional of the olive oil and lemon makes a lot of difference. They are delicious with crusty bread, or in a salad. Sardines are listed in many reports as being extremely nutritious for the Omega 3s, plus they are an excellent protein source.

Tasty product
I got this for my wife the other day. There is a large variety of "tastes" available and the on-line price is very reasonable as compared to purchasing it at "Whole Foods" or some other natural food store. The sardines are not "fishy" tasting and they are fresh. Other pluses to this product is the fact that they are sustainably caught. My wife particularly likes that they offer the Olive oil and Lemon option. I would recommend this product anytime.

Great product
I eat these strictly for health purposes -- I don't like fish in general. Fortunately, the fishy taste is very minimal. I'm very pleased.

Excellent product
These sardines are top quality. They are small, beautifully packed, with a nice light smokey flavor. The olive oil packing liquid adds nicely to the flavor. It's certainly worth the premium price.

Very good!
After seeing the Good Eats show about how Alton lost so much weight, me and my b/f were very interested in the Sardine sandwich he makes in the show that calls for Brisling SardinesYou can find the recipe here[...]So we went to the super market and the only brisling sardines we can find in oil was King Oscar Sardines but it was almost 5 dollars a can and we needed two of them, well okay whatevers we got it.We got home and made thie recipe... and for someone that hasn't ever had sardines before it was super yummers! My b/f has had sardines before and said yup brislings is the way to go. BTW if you were try this recipe at home, they say prep-time is 5 minutes which it is but there is a 1-hour wait time while the sardines soak in the sauce that you have to prepare for, we wanted to eat it right away and it was still pretty good, but since then we have waited and it is better if you wait.Anyways being kind of a frugel person 10 bucks...

Customer Review

These Sardines are delicious!
I have been buying this brand of boneless and skinless sardines for years and still love to just open a can and eat them for a snack. I know that being boneless and skinless lowers the calcium level but I've never liked the crunch or taste of eating a whole sardine right from the sea. And they are packed in olive oil which is loaded with Omega 3's too so it's as good for you as are the sardines. However, I am not so sure about their actual mercury levels. Buying them from Amazon with their $10. off sale on $49. purchases is a great price. I've even found that many of the local grocery stores as well as Costco and BJ's NO longer carry this product. Or their price has skyrocketed. It's great to be able to stock pile them from Amazon. If you like sardines, you'll love these! And they are just so nutritious for us all.

Delicious!
Some sardines are hard to eat...not these! I bought them so I could get a larger amount of omega-3 fatty acids. I eat them because I find them to be so tasty.

EXCELLENT SARDINES AND VALUE
I am always concerned about sodium, fat, oil and calories. These Reese Skinless & Boneless sardines are definitely the answer. What an excellent value, boneless, not unusual, but boneless and skinless, that is another story. I was buying canned sardines from the .99 Cent store for years, smaller cans, but excellent value. Once I found these at Amazon this is where I now buy my sardines. These are an excellent purchase. I also like the pull tab top. No can-opener necessary. I just put them on a plate and add a little mustard and enjoy them. I highly recommend these. Actually, I think I am going to have to open a can right now since my mouth is watering. Oooops, I just checked the pantry and discovered I already ate my last can of sardines, so I am placing my next order now. If you like sardines, these are a wonderful purchase.

Lo Sodium Sardines
I have been purchasing Reese Skinless & Boneless sardines for several months. These sardines come neatly packed approximately 5 to a can. They have always tasted fresh with no fishy taste. As an added bonus they are low in sodium, only 45mg/can. Most canned sardines are high in sodium. The sardines are good eaten right from the can or in a sandwich with tomatoes or scallions. Sometimes I add a small amount of olive oil as the fish can be a tad dry. Excellent sardines. An additional note: For what it is worth the sardines processed in Portugal are far superior to those processed in Morocco. Those from Morocco have of late been over cooked and bits and pieces while the ones from Portugal are firm whole pieces.

Tasty!
A good price on tasty, meaty boneless, skinless sardines. For those who haven't indulged: they taste a good bit like tuna but the amount of mercury in sardines is said to be better than tuna. Yummy!

Customer Review

Finally yummy fish!
I'm trying to eat a heathier diet. As for fish, unless it is deep fried and served with fries, salt, and a sea of vinegar I don't eat it. But I decided to try these, and YUMMY!!! I can actually eat fish without the bad fat, hooray! I've tried the plain with olive oil and didn't like that, but I really like these Mediterranean ones. They are very flavorful and take away the icky fish factor. I would really recommend this to anyone who wants to try eating, fish but is leery of fishyness that keeps them away.

good but not as good as 2 layer
I like these better than the larger sardines from Portugal or Morocco, but they are not as good as the even smaller 2 layer pack brislings. The 2 layer cross pack are the best. The extra seasoning in these neither adds nor detracts from the taste -- I can take it or leave it. In all cases an olive oil pack is superior to water, fish oil, or some cheapo oil (cottonseed, soy, etc). It's really too bad that the Tiny Tots are so hard to find. They always were the very best,by far.

Instead of demanding farmed salmon, which uses at least three pounds of forage fish to get one pound of salmon, people should be demanding the forage fish themselves. When I saw the title of this post in my RSS feed, I was hoping this would be your answer…eat the sardines themselves, not the fish we usually grind them up and feed them to. @jebyrnes: I had a similar conversion experience the first time I was fed... Geoff Shester, the California program director at  Oceana , talked to Grist contributor Clare Leschin-Hoar for the article, “ Small fish, big ocean: Saving Pacific forage fish . ” We followed up with him to ask his take on sardine-eating. Wild fish are among the healthiest things you can eat, yet many wild fish stocks are on the verge of collapse because of overfishing.

Until I invent a stroller made for older children plus all of the cargo that is required for trips to places like Disney World, I’m packing it. Another way that we decided to save a little money (and this is Fiddledaddy’s brilliant plan) is to...   You know, the one with leather seating, entertainment center, and the ability to seat the children SO THAT THEY DO NOT TOUCH ONE ANOTHER.   We’ve been saving for season passes for some time, and decided to go with the option that has black out dates during the summer, spring break, and the week between Christmas and New Years. Now this party of 5 is making the hour plus change trip into Orlando in a SARDINE CAN.   And since the stroller has to ride in the trunk, any other necessary cargo must ride with the passengers.   Weekends at Disney World are also dead to us. Which really, who wants to go in the summer, IN FLORIDA.   You could buy the full monty, which pretty much means you can go anytime you want.   And lastly, it acts as a very nice walker when the mother who is not all that coordinated, say, trips over her own feet.   Its occupant looks rather like the giant baby from the cartoons of my youth, wherein the intoxicated stork delivers the wrong sized child to the right sized parents. As residents of Florida, we have a unique opportunity to purchase Disney World season passes at reasonable rates.   Because it is a necessary part of our trips to Disney World.   Then for a cheaper price, you can chose options which preclude you from going during certain times of the year. As a tween, my newly single mother decided it would be wise to get rid of our “seating for 5000″ Oldsmobile and get a teeny tiny Pontiac Sunbird.
